Megan is a lifelong equestrian, and even after decades in the hunters and dressage, each day in the barn reminds her she's still the same horse-crazy girl at her core. Her hunger for knowledge and advancing her education has led her to obtain instructor certifications through both CHA and PATH. You're more likely to find her spending her extra pennies at a great clinic than chasing a ribbon at a show. Developing an environment that fosters happy, relaxed horses is Megan's goal, and advocacy for the welfare of the horse comes above all else.
Love the horse first, and the sport second!
Before moving back to her home state of MI, Megan served as the executive director of a large therapeutic riding facility in AR. She has years of experience running busy lesson programs and managing facilities up to 50 equines. She would love to meet you and talk about your boarding, training, and lesson needs!
Claire cannot remember a time in her life when horses were not at the forefront of her mind. Before starting riding lessons as a child, she obsessively read every book about horses she could get her hands on, and that same drive for knowledge later led to a degree in Equine Management. After joining the Army in 2006, she continued riding lessons and found a horse to lease in each state to which she moved.
Previously certified by both CHA and PATH, Claire taught therapeutic and traditional riding lessons at a facility in Georgia for several years before returning to her home state of Michigan. She loves distance riding and camping with her Morgan gelding, Gambit. When they’re not out on the trail, dressage keeps Gambit fit.
In loving memory of Kala, who owned Megan from December 2008 through 2023.
Not at all living up to her name, this sweet mare is all cuddles and love. She enjoys trail riding, jumping, and dressage, and has spent time as a therapeutic as well as college mount.
Todd joined Megan in 2018 and his personality has really bloomed in the past two years. He is very expressive, and has a great work ethic in dressage.
Tall, dark, and handsome. And yes, Nic knows it! One of the most intuitive and clever horses Megan has met, this guy owns a big chunk of her heart.
Bred at the same TB farm as Nic, in less than 30 days off track Forrest went to a show! Kind, trainable, and beautiful, Forrest truly is one of a kind.
Also from Nic and Forrest's farm in NY, Bull shares their fabulous personality and trainable nature. Megan sees Bull doing well in the hunters and lower level dressage.
Our youngest at five, Acorn is learning the ropes of being a lesson horse. He loves people! With a few more miles, we suspect he'll make a lovely pony for intermediate riders.
Our oldest at over 28, Scotty is adjusting to the good life - regular brushing sessions, as many healthy treats as he desires, and getting to proudly carry beginner riders for their first few lessons. He's the sweetest boy!
Welcome to the family, Cooper! Previously a lesson pony and a child's mount, he's an all-around doll! A big thank you to his previous owners for allowing him to join our herd. We adore him!
